The Art of the Studio:
Finding a Studio Style that Fits You

Presented by Amy Hillenbrand

Amy will explore the form and function of the artist’s studio and how the design of a workspace can influence creative flow and productivity. She will share a behind-the-scenes look at her own studio, discussing how layout, organization, and atmosphere support her daily practice.

In addition, she'll introduce several distinct “studio personality types,” highlighting different approaches artists use to structure their spaces. Attendees will participate in a brief interactive questionnaire to help identify their own studio style and better understand how to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and creatively energizing—one that truly feels like home.

Amy Hillenbrand is a painter whose work reflects a lifelong creative journey that began in interior design, where she founded and led a successful architectural and interior design firm serving Fortune 500 clients. Today she brings that same refined eye for color, composition, and space to her fine art. Through luminous florals and expressive animals, she creates paintings that quiet inner noise—the limiting lies that keep us from stepping fully into who we are meant to be—and lift the spirit, making you feel joyful, peaceful, and alive. Her paintings are held in private collections across the United States and Canada, as well as in galleries, public spaces, and juried festivals.

Connie assists her clients with creating compelling content. She began her writing journey with the weekly column in the Boerne Star about arts in the hill country in 2011. Writing articles about people in Kendall County and covering government news for Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Bulverde/Spring Branch for the Hill Country Weekly allowed her to expand her knowledge of the area and connect with dozens of decision-makers, personalities and organizations. She was the editor of Boerne Lifestyle Magazine for three years. She now writes grants for nonprofits, industry blogs for clients, resumes for college graduates, and articles for print media. Lately, Connie has been proofreading and editing authors' manuscripts.
