AFTER FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Van Gogh Beyond Stars and Sunflowers
Presenter: Riki Yarbrough
We might think we know Vincent van Gogh, the tortured artist who wildly painted sunflowers and a starry night. But beyond our first impressions and assumptions, he was an artist who engaged and expressed his world in such a different light... so different that he is still teaching us to see today.
About our presenter:
Riki Yarbrough is a mixed media artist who tells stories of truth, beauty, and struggle through the layering of color, lines, images and words in her work. She has worked as a free-lance graphic designer for over 25 years and has practiced various disciplines alongside including teaching art, painting murals, cake decorating, and for several years now a dedicated mixed media painter. She is also a partner at Gallery195 here in Boerne and serves as designer and curator for BVA.
