POSTCARDS TO MYSELF: An Artist's Journey
Presenter: Lyn Belisle
In her informal presentation, Lyn will discuss how we grow and change as artists. She will show work from her past and present portfolios that illustrate these changes. She’ll also lead us to explore how to find inspiration in our own work that can create those “aha” moments that steer our journey’s course.
About our presenter:
Lyn Belisle is a multidisciplinary artist whose artwork gives expression to her quest to discover and connect synchronistic shards of meaning through collage and assemblage. Her signature media are clay, beeswax, paper and fiber. Lyn recently retired from the faculty in the Computer Science Department at Trinity to work full time at her studio. She has work at The Museum of Encaustic Art in Santa Fe and in the San Antonio Art League & Museum and currently serves as the President of the San Antonio Art League. She teaches mixed-media workshops locally, nationally and internationally, most recently in Santa Fe, Provincetown, Washington State, Taos, and Ireland.
